To Depute Liaison Officer:

8. To depute Liaison Officer: (1) Government of Nepal may depute
any of the following person as a liaison officer pursuant to Section 20 of
the Act.
(a) Non- Gazette first class or above class employee of
the civil service.
(b) Officer level personnel of the Nepal Army or Nepal
Police or Armed Police Force as equivalent to
Gazetted Third Class of civil service.
(c) Climber (Aarohi) from among the person who
successful climbed Mount Everest on the

recommendation of an institution as prescribed by
the Ministry
(2) The following conditions shall have to be fulfilled to depute a
liaison officer pursuant to Sub-rule (1)
(a) To have basic training related to mountaineering
expedition.
(b) To have educational qualification, at least of
Bachelor’s degree.
Provided that, for the purpose of the Climber
pursuant to Clause (c) of Sub-rule (1) one has to
pass at least School Leaving Certificate.
(c) To have submitted the medical report certified by
the registered physician recognized by Government
of Nepal upon mentioning that he/she is able to
visit the base camp of the mountain range. and
(d) To have the certificate from the recognized
institution upon mentioning regarding the
knowledge of English and other language to
communicate (dialogue) with the mountaineering
expedition team.
